About the role

  • Partner closely with product, credit, operations and leadership teams.
  • Provide trusted advice, insight and constructive challenge across operational, regulatory and conduct risk.
  • Ensure first line accountability is strong and aligned to the BOQ Group Risk Management Framework.
  • Help teams embed effective controls and respond thoughtfully to emerging issues.
  • Represent Line 1 Risk in change and productivity initiatives.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of operational and regulatory risk.
  • Experience within financial services.
  • Ability to balance customer, commercial and risk outcomes.
  • Strong analytical mindset.
  • Ability to communicate clearly regarding risks and governance uplift.
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring teams to contribute to a positive risk culture.
  • Autonomous and collaborative working style.
