About the role
- Help develop the company's clinical and administrative policies
- Assist with getting the Texas State license and Medicare certification, making sure we're compliant with all the rules.
- Act as backup for the Company’s administrator
- Provide direct clinical supervision of all assigned staff.
- Participate in hiring, evaluating, and terminating Agency personnel as required
- Keep clinical records in line with state/federal laws, including Medicare, CHAP, and Joint Commission standards.
- Figuring out who qualifies as a new client and making sure they're eligible for home health benefits through third parties.
- Ensure and perform in-home supervisory visits with assigned team members as appropriate.
- Performs other related duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary.
- Monitor staff assignments, caseloads, and team productivity.
- Promote efficient utilization of resources.
Requirements
- A graduate of an approved school of professional nursing who is currently licensed as a registered nurse in the TX
- Two (2) years experience as a RN with two (2) years in community health/home health program and maintain CPR certification while employed in a clinical role
- One year of experience supervising clinicians in a Home Health Agency environment and experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
- Access to reliable transportation.
- In-depth understanding of Medicare Conditions of Participation and payment mechanisms for home health.
- Strong organizational, planning, problem solving, decision-making and leadership skills.
