About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Generate qualified sales opportunities in partnership with your assigned Regional Partnerships Director through strategic outbound prospecting, targeted campaigns, referrals, and other lead generation strategies.
- Research school districts, identify key decision makers, and build target account plans aligned with BookNook's Ideal Customer Profile.
- Engage prospective customers through phone, email, LinkedIn, and other outreach channels to establish relationships, uncover needs, qualify opportunities, and schedule discovery meetings for your assigned Regional Partnerships Director.
- Nurture existing contacts and leads to generate new interest in BookNook solutions.
- Partner closely with Marketing and your Regional Partnerships Director to execute territory strategies, campaign follow-up, conference lead management, and account-based outreach.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, activity tracking, and prospect data to support pipeline management and reporting.
- Share best practices and contribute to the ongoing development of the Revenue team.
- Travel up to 20% within your assigned territory to support conferences, customer events, and team meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
What youβll need- 1+ years of experience in a Business Development Representative (BDR), Sales Development Representative (SDR), or inside sales role, preferably in a B2B SaaS or EdTech environment.
- Demonstrated success prospecting, generating qualified sales opportunities, and consistently achieving activity or pipeline goals.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills, with the ability to engage school and district decision makers.
- A self-motivated, resilient, and collaborative mindset with a willingness to learn, receive coaching, and continuously improve.
