About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide patient care through the nursing process according to Registered Nurse standards and scope of practice
- Float to assigned sites throughout the Bon Secours Mercy Health System, including sites outside the home market
- Conduct individualized patient assessments, including psychosocial assessments
- Formulate and implement individualized patient care plans
- Deliver interventions, evaluate patient responses, and document care
- Provide age- and culturally appropriate care
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare team members
- Provide physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families
- Supervise assigned team members
- Participate in continuous quality improvement and departmental activities
- Advocate for patients
- Report to the Clinical Manager for the assigned department
Requirements
What you’ll need- Current RN License in good standing in state of practice (required)
- BLS Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association (required)
- Any additional credentials required for the nurse specialty as designated by Bon Secours Mercy Health (required)
- Associate of Nursing (required)
- 6 months of recent experience in an acute care specialty (required)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred)
- 1 year of recent experience in an acute care specialty (preferred)
- EPIC Electronic Health Record training (preferred)
- Ability and willingness to float to assigned sites throughout the Bon Secours Mercy Health System, including outside the home market
