Lead the development of system functions, requirements, architectures, and allocations to hardware, software, and personnel components in a Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) context.
Lead the coordination efforts between a range of engineering disciplines to define system functions and requirements related to system development and lifecycle engineering.
Apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.
Evaluate customer/operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces.
Mentor early-career engineers and act as a technical lead engineer.
Resolve cross-functional technical issues.
Interface with safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance, and other specialty engineering groups to ensure a well-balanced system design early in the lifecycle.
Manage the development of systems engineering material such as System Concept of Operations, System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements, Specifications, and Interface Control Documents.
Plan, design, and develop lifecycle balanced system solutions for a highly complex system; allocate performance budgets and analyze system performance.
Utilize understanding of engineering processes to collaborate with Program Management and Engineering functions to support Customer needs.
Develop the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes.
Lead analyses and trade study activities to optimize total system definition and architecture.
Requirements
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
14+ years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
10+ years of Systems Engineering experience
10+ years of demonstrated collaboration & written and verbal communication skills
