About the role
- Prepares and executes supplier contracts in support of program needs
- Partnering with Program and Engineering teammates to provide the best sourcing solution for our programs
- Gathers data for supplier performance evaluation and improvement opportunities
- Integrates program, customer, product and in-service strategies into source selection, negotiation and contracting strategies
- Negotiates pricing and contract terms and conditions
- Conducts risk, issues and opportunities management
- Manages supply and demand, schedules, supplier quality, delivery and financial performance
- Initiates and executes supplier improvement activities and integrates results into contracting strategies
- Provides oversight and management of supply and demand, schedules, supplier quality, delivery and financial performance
Requirements
- 1+ years’ experience working directly with suppliers or supplier management
- 1+ years’ experience drafting, negotiating and executing contracts or subcontracts
- 1+ years’ experience managing suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (preferred)
- Experience in Supplier Management/ Procurement as a Purchasing Agent or Buyer (preferred)
- Experience working on U.S. Department of Defense contracts (preferred)
