About the role

  • Manage a technical sales team coordinating closely with Digital Services (DS) program and sales leadership, marketing and the broader regional sales organization for Boeing Global Services
  • Develop go-to-market strategy for the business and lead team execution of sales campaigns to achieve growth objectives
  • Day-to-day management of sales team members focused on regional sales campaigns, opportunity management, sales training & development, internal coordination, CRM (Salesforce.com) administration and other programs
  • Report to Senior Director, Commercial Sales BGS and dotted line to Senior Director, Digital Services; manage the Sales IPT
  • Coach, develop and guide the sales team on customer journey optimization and portfolio growth while partnering with regional managing directors
  • Monitor global team activities daily and conduct weekly/monthly check-in meetings to implement and adjust strategies
  • Lead and motivate sales professionals to solicit new business and retain/penetrate existing business to drive growth
  • Lead development of sales opportunities and coordinate with sales support groups including Customer Success & Service Leaders, program leadership, and marketing
  • Drive prospecting, strategy planning, forecasting and prioritization of resources
  • Support strategic imperatives and initiatives to fulfill business requirements and optimize performance
  • Monitor, track, and report on key sales performance metrics
  • Maximize utilization of product management and marketing communication as well as customer support
  • Ensure continuous improvement in customer satisfaction and maintain/develop relationships with key personnel of strategic customers
  • Conduct regular pipeline reviews and supervise team performance against targets and KPIs
  • Participate in strategically important client negotiations and meetings
  • Lead execution of sales strategy in assigned territories and ensure team quota attainment
  • Oversee process improvements, staff skill development and collaboration with larger BGS and Boeing proposal initiatives
  • Partner with sales leadership, sales operations, human resources and finance to administer sales incentive plan program; support internal nonstandard business approval processes for strategic campaigns as needed

Requirements

  • Experienced in Business Management or Sales/Marketing or equivalent in progressive leadership
  • Working knowledge of software solutions supporting flight deck operations, and technical operations as it relates to the global commercial aviation market segment
  • Experience closing large, complex, strategic deals
  • Exemplary people management, leadership skills, as well as sales coaching & team building skills
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally
  • Understanding of the Aviation market space (preferred)
  • Understanding of internal sales approval processes (P&O, NBA, etc.) (preferred)
  • Understanding of CRM tools, specifically Salesforce.com (preferred)
  • Proven ability to facilitate meetings and foster communication across geographically separated teams (preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (preferred)
  • Business management and resource allocation skills including business plan development (preferred)
  • Strong business acumen; financial and organizational skills (preferred)
  • Advanced negotiation, problem solving and influencing skills (preferred)
  • Ability to energize, develop, and build rapport, collaboration and influence, at all levels within the organization (preferred)
  • Ability to operate effectively in a multi-tasking, dynamic environment, while maintaining a forward-thinking and customer-first attitude (preferred)
