About the role

  • Design, develop, maintain and optimize internal company data architecture for moderately complex databases/data warehouses
  • Lead data modelling for acquisition and database implementation collaborating with stakeholders
  • Apply data extraction, transformation and loading techniques to connect large data sets from various sources
  • Create data collection frameworks for structured and unstructured data to generate features for data scientists
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure systems (data warehouses, data lakes) including data access APIs
  • Analyze and manage moderately complex data and guide other data and analytics professionals on standards and practices
  • Establish culture of sharing, reuse, design for scale, stability, and operational efficiency of data and analytics solutions
  • Build complex repeatable data pipelines across multi- and hybrid-cloud environments
  • Support development of application databases and data warehouse and support data governance, data mapping, and data dictionary
  • Support Systems Vision Plan and Roadmap for Design/Build organization and translate customer requirements into architecture solutions
  • Coordinate with business partners to understand engineering and operations requirements and support major projects through scoping, cost estimating and risk analysis
  • Develop/implement new processes across the organization and build relationships with internal/external customers

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (or Equivalent) in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • Basic Qualifications: Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in specified fields
  • Preferred: Level 4: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Expert generating and maintaining entity relationship diagrams
  • Expert architecting databases using normalization rules
  • Expert with SQL (complex stored procedures, views, and CTE's)
  • Expert with ETL Platforms such as SSIS, AWS Glue, Data Factory, Dataflow, Informatica, Hadoop
  • Experience architecting databases for data warehouses using Kimball Dimensional Modeling, including star and snowflake schema
  • Experience with database testing and performance optimizations
  • Experience developing and maintaining data warehouses, data lakes, and data access APIs
  • Leverages automation & CI/CD extensively for scalability, repeatability, and reuse
  • Working experience with Agile methodology and tools (Git/ADO/Jira)
  • Experience with project management
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 Suite of Apps
  • Must be able to work 100% onsite at listed locations
  • Export Control Requirement: must be a U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)
