About the role
- Provide end-to-end oversight of fleet operations and maintenance activities across all Puget Sound sites, ensuring availability, reliability, and safe operation of fleet assets.
- Establish and execute fleet maintenance strategies, preventive maintenance programs, and lifecycle management plans to maximize uptime and minimize total cost of ownership.
- Act as the senior escalation point for fleet-related operational issues, major equipment outages, and emergency vendor mobilization.
- Serve as the primary Boeing point of contact and contract manager for Amerit.
- Monitor and manage vendor performance against contractual SLAs, KPIs, and safety requirements; drive corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives as needed.
- Develop, negotiate, and maintain contract amendments, Statements of Work (SOWs), and service-level agreements in partnership with Procurement and Legal.
- Lead formal vendor performance reviews, audits, and governance forums; prepare executive-level summaries and recommendations.
- Own fleet-related budgets, forecasts, and cost controls; review and approve invoices, change orders, and variances in alignment with contract terms.
- Support capital planning, asset replacement strategies, and long-term fleet investment decisions.
- Ensure accurate documentation of fleet assets, maintenance history, and cost data within applicable systems.
- Lead coordination with site Facilities leaders, Fleet users, Environmental Health & Safety, Security, Operations, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure fleet operations comply with regulatory requirements, internal safety standards, and Boeing policies.
- Conduct site inspections and operational audits to validate compliance, safety, and performance expectations.
- Maintain accurate vendor documentation, maintenance logs, and workforce or cost records (e.g., Workday and maintenance management systems).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field — or equivalent relevant experience.
- 7+ years of experience in fleet management, facilities operations, or equipment maintenance, including at least 3 years of direct responsibility for vendor and contract management.
- 5+ years experience managing fleet operations, including preventive maintenance programs, asset lifecycle planning, and operational performance.
- Proven contract management experience, including SOW development, SLA/KPI governance, budget ownership, and invoice/change-order approval.
- Strong understanding of fleet equipment maintenance, utilization optimization, and cost-control strategies.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence across geographically dispersed sites.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly across Puget Sound sites (daily/weekly as required).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Workday, Corrigo, Maximo, or other fleet/maintenance management systems preferred.
