About the role
- Leads Boeing Global Service (BGS) Safety program.
- Leads a global team to identify, elevate and mitigate risks that could result in injuries, or risks to environment or regulatory compliance.
- Operationalizes the business strategy to support, promote, and enact improvements to all BGS sites and locations where BGS has employees.
- Champions a Safety Culture where hazards are identified and mitigated routinely; that ensures compliance with standards and best practices, reduces risk normalization, delivers a healthy and continuously improving management system to proactively ensure accountability for safe behaviors.
- Leads and recommends actions to continue to improve performance in risk reduction that leads to an overall reduction in recordable rate performance and improved environmental reporting and control.
- Delivers standardization and simplification of policy compliance, adapted to the location, statement of work and rules/regulations/customers and culture thereof.
- Integrates risk identification and mitigation where appropriate with our Safety and Quality management systems.
- Collaborate across the Enterprise and with external stakeholders to share best practices, learn from each other and improve aviation workplace safety.
Requirements
- 7+ years of senior/executive level management experience
- Exposure to Environmental, Health and Safety experience
- Breadth and depth of industry knowledge; experience leading across large geographically dispersed organizations with a Safety, Quality and Integrity mindset
- A dynamic and influential leader and a skilled relationship manager
- Requires the capability to establish credibility and to influence and persuade others
- Strategic decision making
- Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Must have ability to perform robust Root Cause Corrective Actions and sustained corrective and preventive actions while driving innovation and growth.
