About the role
- Support Communications Security (COMSEC) efforts for Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) in Southern California
- Conduct secure equipment (e.g., secure telephone and encryption devices) and classified keying material inventories, inspections and other COMSEC related support and oversight functions
- Perform installation of secure telephone equipment (STE) and coordinate delivery of encryption device(s) and keying material to IT specialists maintaining classified networks
- Maintain records and accountability of COMSEC materials site-wide; ensure COMSEC materials are properly received, hand-recepted and transferred
- Acquire and issue materials to program personnel and conduct inventories per agency policy; report any discrepancy to government customer
- Courier classified information and author receipts for classified materials
- Enforce compliance with United States Government (USG) COMSEC standards by providing security education and training on operating procedures
- Ensure Automated Information Systems (AIS) security requirements related to COMSEC duties are in compliance
- Train personnel in COMSEC procedures and the use of related equipment
- Work in an open production environment using proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and basic tools, observing production facility requirements
Requirements
- Successfully completed Tier 5 Investigation (T5), formerly SSBI, within the last 5 years or enrolled in a Continuous Vetting program within the last 5 years
- 5+ years of experience working with Communications Security (COMSEC) in one or a combination of National Industrial Security Program (NISP), Special Access Program (SAP) and/or Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)
- 5+ years of experience in Industrial Security
- 5+ years of experience working with COMSEC accountability software
- Current COMSEC training certificate
- Experience training peers in the use of COMSEC equipment and procedures
- Experience installing secure telephone equipment (STE) and coordinating delivery of encryption devices and keying material
- Experience maintaining COMSEC records and accountability site-wide
- Ability to courier classified information and author receipts for classified materials
- Knowledge of United States Government (USG) COMSEC standards and Automated Information Systems (AIS) security requirements related to COMSEC duties
- Ability to work in an open production environment using proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and basic tools
- Active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance required (U.S. Citizenship Required)
- Must meet export control compliance as a “U.S. Person” per 22 C.F.R. §120.15 (no visa sponsorship)

- Preferred: KMI Schoolhouse training completion certificate
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work or military experience
- Preferred: 5+ years of experience communicating with internal and external customers
- Preferred: 5+ years of experience as a primary COMSEC Custodian
- Preferred: Experience troubleshooting COMSEC equipment
