About the role
- Manage employees and first level managers performing activities related to supplier program management throughout all contract phases.
- Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals and objectives.
- Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
- Manages, develops and motivates employees and first-level managers.
- Interfaces directly with engine companies to resolve engine issues in the Boeing Production value stream
- Engage with the Boeing Engineering, Contracts, Propulsion & Program organizations to resolve delivery issues
- Represents the Engine Management organization at the delivery center and in the factory
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in managing or leading people or teams
- 5+ years of experience in managing and leading teams, as well as influencing within matrixed organizations
- 5+ years of experience in supporting Operations, Materials Management and/or Supply Chain functions in a production environment
- 3+ years of experience leading or managing projects, teams, vendors in a factory/manufacturing environment
- Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Degree
- 5+ years of experience demonstrating exceptional business, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- 5+ years of experience leading or managing process improvement projects
