About the role
- Perform assigned firefighting and emergency response duties in accordance with established policies, procedures, and operational protocols
- Respond to emergency incidents to mitigate hazardous conditions through the safe and effective operation of specialized tools, equipment, and apparatus appropriate to the nature of the emergency
- Assess emergency situations and execute appropriate courses or action within the scope of assigned qualifications, training, authority
- Conduct routine inspections, testing and maintenance checks of fire protection systems and equipment to ensure operational readiness, regulatory compliance, and adherence to company standards
- Complete all required reports, records, and documentation related to emergency response, inspections training, and equipment readiness
- Support and participate in internal and external emergency preparedness, fire protection, and safety training programs to ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements
Requirements
- Current National Registry or South Carolina State Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification
- State, IFSAC or Pro Board Firefighter 1 Certification
- State, IFSAC or Pro Board Firefighter 2 Certification
- Current valid driver’s license
- Willing to work variable shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- 1+ years of experience working with hazardous materials
- 1+ years of experience with building and fire codes, modern fire prevention principles, procedures and equipment
- Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighter (ARFF) Certification
- Fire Inspector I (CFI-I) Certification
