About the role

Support the Obsolescence Capability Lead in the provision of the Obsolescence Management Services for the BDUK Portfolio
Assist in the preparation of material for briefings, meetings and formal working groups (internal and external)
Highlighting any obsolescence issues or opportunities at the earliest possible point
Attendance as required at internal, supplier and customer meetings
Liaison with Systems functions (Engineering, Supply Chain Management and Training)
Assist in coordinating Support Engineering deliverables (CDRLs)
Work as directed by the Obsolescence Management Capability Lead and the BDUK Product Support Engineering Manager

Essential to be able to obtain UK SC security clearance
A thorough understanding of Support Engineering, specifically obsolescence in the Military environment
An understanding and previous experience in Obsolescence Management
Ability to analyse Engineering data
Ability to work with the cross functional business stakeholders to identify optimisation opportunities
Ideally you will be educated to degree level in a relevant Engineering subject (not mandatory)
Experience of working with international support standards such as Def Stan 00-600 ASD/AIA Suite of S Series ILS Specifications is desirable
Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
Candidates must have current legal authorisation to work immediately in the United Kingdom.
