About the role
- Define and communicate the product vision and strategy for data products, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and customer needs
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, data science, marketing, and sales, to gather requirements, prioritize features, and ensure successful product delivery
- Leverage expertise in AWS and GCP to guide product development, ensuring scalability, security, and performance of data solutions
- Manage the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch, including defining product requirements, creating user stories, and overseeing development processes
- Track project progress with technical teams, ensuring milestones are met and deliverables are on schedule
- Prepare and present regular status reports to senior leadership, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and next steps
- Identify and communicate red flags or potential roadblocks, facilitating timely discussions with stakeholders to address issues and mitigate risks
- Ensure that data products adhere to industry standards and regulations, implementing best practices for data governance and security
- Establish and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and drive continuous improvement
- Engage with customers to gather feedback, understand their challenges, and identify opportunities for product enhancements
- Create comprehensive product documentation and training materials to support internal teams and customers
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with technical product management
- 5+ years of experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- 5+ years of experience with AWS Cloud Technologies
- 5+ years of experience in Project Management, Configuration Management and/or Data Management and processing
- 5+ years of SAFe experience
- Bachelor’s degree or related military work experience (preferred)
- Experience with evaluating, learning, and integrating new tools and processes (preferred)
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach
