About the role
- leads development, integration and documentation of structural requirements
- coordinates with other engineering groups
- guides product design and verifies structural integrity using analytical methods and finite element models
- leads development of test plans and configurations
- supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results
- defines and documents certification and test results
- supports in-service products by leading investigations into failures
- integrates component-level structural models and performs integrated analysis
- develops analytical processes/tools
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical, Civil, or Structural Engineering
- 5+ years related work experience in structure/stress analysis
- 10+ years of experience with Engineering classification
- ABET-accredited engineering degree preferred
- 3+ years of experience with Finite Element Analysis (ANSYS, Abaqus, NASTRAN, or HyperMesh)
- experience with Fatigue or Durability Analysis
- experience in aerospace stress analysis
