About the role
- Design, develop, and deploy modular data pipelines
- Develop and maintain cloud software and solutions in accordance with best practices
- Ensure efficient functioning of data storage and process functions in accordance with company security policies and best practices
- Regularly review existing systems and make recommendations for improvements
- Participate in all aspects of agile software development, including design, implementation, and deployment
- Interact with clients, provide cloud support, and make recommendations based on client needs
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering, building pipelines in AWS Glue or relational databases
- 2+ years of experience with version control, Gitlab, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform)
- 3+ years of experience with Spark and other big data processing frameworks
- Proficiency in languages such as Python and SQL
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Aurora)
- Experience of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools like Informatica or AWS Glue
- Experience with IaC and tools such as Terraform
- Experience translating business requirements into technical specifications
- Experience with cross-functional collaboration
