About the role

  • Serve as the "owner" and accountable lead for the assigned accounts, driving the development and execution of assigned Key Account plans
  • Provide effective lateral leadership to all colleagues involved
  • Partner with priority accounts to co-develop high-impact initiatives that streamline care pathways, elevate patient outcomes, and contribute to robust real-world evidence
  • Secure timely formulary inclusion and maximize uptake of BI medicines by analyzing and synthesizing insights from multiple sources to understand each account’s potential, pressures, and holistic needs
  • Build trustful relationships with key accounts through ongoing collaboration centered on improving patient outcomes and delivering joint value for the customer and Boehringer Ingelheim

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales, market access, or key account management
  • Strong knowledge of the Swiss healthcare system, hospital procurement, and reimbursement processes, combined with an established network of accounts in the EAST region
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to develop clear and concise account plans
  • Proven track record of leading diverse teams laterally and a strong cross-functional mindset: highly skilled at coordinating across internal teams and Business Units to deliver a seamless, unified customer experience
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing multi-stakeholder projects in healthcare settings
  • Proficiency in German and English; French and Italian are a plus
