About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Define and deliver the Governmental Affairs strategy and action plan for Boehringer Ingelheim Switzerland, aligned with regional and global priorities
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with key Swiss stakeholders such as authorities, policymakers, think tanks, and healthcare organizations
  • Represent the company in industry associations and contribute to shaping healthcare policy
  • Monitor Swiss political and regulatory developments and translate them into recommendations and advocacy approaches
  • Partner with Healthcare Affairs, Market Access, and Communications

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Political Science, Economics, Public Health/Medicine); MBA, Public Affairs, or Health Policy training is a plus
  • 5+ years’ experience in healthcare policy, governmental affairs, public administration, pharma, or consulting, with proven advocacy and stakeholder management experience in Switzerland
  • Ability to influence at national and cantonal levels; strong negotiation skills and a trust-based, partnership mindset
  • Fluent in German, French, and English (Italian is a plus); high integrity and compliance mindset; office-based with regular travel within Switzerland and occasional travel to the EU
