About the role
- Architect and deploy robust, multi-cloud systems across GCP and AWS, ensuring scalability, reliability, and strong performance
- Lead cloud migration projects, including on-premises to cloud transitions, hybrid solutions, and infrastructure automation across multiple sites and providers
- Build infrastructure that scales with rapid business growth, including integrating and automating diverse tech stacks acquired through new market expansion
- Manage Kubernetes clusters, optimising containerised workloads through provider-managed services and continuously improving efficiency and reliability
- Establish and evolve best practices for CI/CD, infrastructure as code using Terraform, and system performance monitoring
- Lead critical upgrades, patching, and infrastructure clean-up to de-risk legacy systems and strengthen our technical foundation
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve infrastructure challenges proactively and independently
- Keep pace with AI-driven developments and emerging DevOps tooling, bringing relevant innovations into how we operate
- Work closely with engineering, product, and IT teams to align infrastructure goals with business needs
- Communicate clearly about infrastructure decisions, trade-offs, and risks to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Contribute to a culture of shared ownership, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence across the team
Requirements
- Extensive experience designing and managing scalable, multi-cloud environments across GCP and AWS
- Advanced expertise in Terraform for infrastructure as code
- Proven experience leading cloud migration projects, including on-premises to cloud transitions and hybrid infrastructure
- Deep expertise in Kubernetes, including optimising and managing containerised workloads at scale
- A track record of tackling complex tech debt, driving critical upgrades and risk mitigation with a business-focused approach
- Strong understanding of modern DevOps practices including automation, observability, and CI/CD pipeline management
- Experience working in high-growth environments where tech stacks change quickly and priorities shift
