About the role

  • Work with senior executives and sales/relationship management to drive sales and commercial strategy for Buy-Side Trading Solutions
  • Manage the sales process from pipeline creation to structuring complex deals and client onboarding, including pricing, contracts, RFP responses, and agreements
  • Act as subject matter expert in outsourced trading and transition management to design client solutions
  • Create organic growth via outreach to existing clients and targeted engagement with new prospects in asset management
  • Independently develop leads and engage prospects leveraging firm resources while ensuring regulatory and risk compliance
  • Identify and commercialize cross-selling opportunities with related BNY offerings
  • Provide commercial updates to senior management by tracking and reporting key business development metrics
  • Attend industry events and serve in a consultative role to evaluate prospects and deal requirements

Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in a sales or strategy role at a buy-side or sell-side institution
  • In-depth knowledge of US and global capital markets, financial instruments, market structure, and regulatory landscape
  • Experience working with Product and Trading teams to design and implement commercial solutions for multi-asset trading and portfolio transitions
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills; ability to articulate complex issues
  • Continuous learning mindset; leverage seminars, conferences, and training
  • Demonstrated ability to innovate and identify process and technology solutions, especially using AI
  • Collaborative, team-oriented, service-oriented, with a drive to win business while mitigating risk
  • Strong track record of building client relations with complex institutions and working under pressure
  • FINRA Series 7 required
