We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Director Product Design Platform Lead to join the Middle Office and Data & Analytics Client Platforms within BNY. This role is located in New York, NY or Boston, MA. We are looking for a Principal UX / Design subject matter expert to lead teams to solve our most complex product design challenges for Middle Office and Data & Analytics Client Platforms, within BNY. Contributing to all the activities within product design including user research and testing, interaction design, and visual design In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: As subject matter expert, actively fine-tune your expertise in the field and regularly use professional concepts to resolve complex issues facing the team, and occasionally cross functional partners. Leading the overall Middle Office Client user experience for both internal users and clients by defining key personas, working with UI teams on interaction models and defining the aesthetic for all interfaces Creating wireframes, storyboards, prototypes, and design specifications for all new user interfaces Collaborating and coordinating with the Design Practice and other Client Platforms (especially within Asset Servicing) to ensure consistency in approach and design constructs. Participating in the UI strategy for the Platform and helping to guide all new development in the context of that strategy, the information architecture and the technical ‘north star’. Leading user research efforts to provide feedback to the product management team on current and future product plans. Providing UX expertise to the product definition and evaluation process utilizing multiple sources of information (field work, interviews, internet, intranet, market data/literature). Leading the creation and updating of user interface and visual design guidelines and standards. Leads the implementation of visual styles that support platform branding to increase user effectiveness. Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of others. Comprehensive consultation to management and staff related to user research, usability testing, surveys, interviews, work studies, and heuristic evaluations. Reviews documentation of research findings presented to product and development teams. Defines and reviews new and modified user personas. Participates and provides guidance in the creation of concepts, information architecture, user interface designs, wireframes, storyboards, prototypes, and specifications to meet project schedules. Leads the implementation of visual styles that support platform branding to increase user effectiveness. Consults on and interprets user feedback and insights to improve the user experience. Serves as reviewer of usability activities and artifacts to ensure software applications meet customer expectations for use. Provides UX expertise to the product definition and evaluation process utilizing multiple sources of information (field work, interviews, internet, intranet, market data/literature). Acts as principal consult and leads the creation and updating of user interface and visual design guidelines and standards. Advocates for user-centered design and the value of standardized design systems across the firm and facilities training for groups outside the UX team. Ensures that the developed/revised product achieves the user's specified goals by establishing user-centered analysis, design, best practices, and standards. Lead range of complex projects that dictate team success, with internal and cross-functional outcomes that requires in-depth analysis and evaluation of variable factors. Builds strong relationships with people on their immediate team and across the company. Should know key stakeholders and peers to understand connection of their own work. Creates formal networks with key decision makers and cross-functional partners.

Data & Analytics Platform Experience Proven track in re-platforming, modernization and multi-platform integration projects. Experience with financial market data, market data providers and market data products across securities, reference and real-time data sets. Experience with investment management workflows, financial products and common buy-side software design patterns. Accounting, performance, risk and analytics preferred. Proven ability to work collaboratively across globally distributed teams Deep interest the future of data & AI interfaces and proven experience in ideation and iteration with current version tools
