About the role

  • Understand how the business operates, including F2 targets and KPIs
  • Willingness to take on projects that affect daily business operations
  • Involved in daily reporting of Inbound and Outbound (Air Freight, Sea Freight) topics
  • Work with outside BMW departments and LSP (Logistics Service Provider) to ensure daily goals are achieved
  • Track LSP performance to ensure they meet assigned targets
  • Monitor daily warehouse inventory levels to ensure even flow of materials
  • Knowledge or understanding of quality control processes and packaging designs/standards
  • Responsibilities focused on ensuring product quality and effective packaging solutions
  • Focus on preventative measures and ensuring established quality standards are followed at each stage
  • Ensure packaging materials and designs meet performance requirements
  • Improve logistics processes through digitalization tools (Power BI, DataRobot, Celonis, etc.) and VPS methods (value stream mapping, waste reduction, kaizen)
  • Find and implement solutions for more effective processes in all warehouse functions (Goods Receiving, Packing, Goods Issue, Quality, Yard), both physically and digitally
  • Manage timelines and deliverables of individual and team projects to add value to both direct and indirect processes
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, Quality Management, Engineering (Packaging, Mechanical, Industrial), or prior experience in Quality Assurance, industry, or manufacturing
  • Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major)
  • Enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States
  • Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application
  • Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours/week)
  • Transfer students must have a GPA from their current university
  • MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT
  • Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term
