About the role

  • You will support the market analysis of generative design tools and evaluate existing design tools and algorithms with respect to their applicability in the power electronics domain.
  • You will contribute to the further development of a generative design approach by developing novel algorithms that address the specific needs of the automotive sector.
  • In addition, you will help design a workflow that combines data generation with AI metamodels and Physical-AI models.
  • You will assist with multidimensional optimization that includes cost reduction, efficiency improvement, weight reduction, and the integration of advanced manufacturing technologies.
  • You will also support the integration of AI-driven optimization methods, accelerated multiphysics simulations, and automated analysis pipelines based on Physical-AI technologies.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a degree program in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or Automotive Engineering.
  • Knowledge of generative design and experience with CAD software.
  • Familiarity with ANSYS tools (Mechanical, Thermal-Electric Simulation, optiSLang) or a strong interest in learning them.
  • Experience or interest in Physical-AI models (e.g., NVIDIA PhysicsNeMo, physics-informed neural networks, Omniverse-based simulation environments).
  • Analytical and structured way of working.
  • Teamwork and excellent communication skills.
  • Very good English skills.
Benefits
  • Comprehensive mentoring & onboarding.
  • Personal and professional development.
  • Flexible working hours.
  • Mobile/remote work.
  • Attractive and fair compensation.
  • Student apartments (subject to availability & only at the Munich location).
