About the role

  • This role coordinates, facilitates, and develops the primary tactical and strategic Security, Emergency Services, and Investigative functions for Plant Spartanburg and other BMW locations in the USA and Canada, as needed.
  • It develops and implements core security strategies to meet the location's business needs and serves as a key resource to BMW Manufacturing, site business management, and external partners.
  • The role ensures that security and emergency services perform efficiently at the highest level and are under continual systemic review.
  • It serves as a liaison with local law enforcement to assist investigations of accidents, thefts, and property loss.
  • The role also assists in Plant Spartanburg Security and Emergency Services functions, as well as Crisis Management operations.
  • Additionally, it reviews security technology tools (cameras, radar, License Plate Readers, etc.) to identify subjects committing criminal acts or causing damage on BMW property.

Requirements

  • Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major)
  • Have enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States
  • Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application
  • Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours/week)
  • Transfer students must have a GPA from their current university
  • MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT
  • Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term
