About the role

  • You will actively support the purchasing of door and flap mechanics as well as exterior mirrors for all vehicle models of the BMW Group.
  • You will gain insight into the interaction between development, business administration, logistics and quality in the automotive industry.
  • You will assist in conducting bid comparisons, organizing and preparing negotiations, and preparing committee materials.
  • You will support the management and administration of purchasing processes and orders in SAP.
  • You will accompany and support negotiations for the new electric vehicle fleet, including business case calculations and negotiation strategy.
  • You will be part of our risk management team and support efforts to resolve current supply issues.
  • You will contribute to external B2B communication between Purchasing and Sales.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or a comparable field.
  • Strong MS Office skills, with particular enthusiasm for Excel tasks.
  • Strong communication and assertiveness skills.
  • Interest in business and technical issues.
  • Fluent German (at least B2 level).
  • Business-fluent English.
