About the role
- You will actively support the purchasing of door and flap mechanics as well as exterior mirrors for all vehicle models of the BMW Group.
- You will gain insight into the interaction between development, business administration, logistics and quality in the automotive industry.
- You will assist in conducting bid comparisons, organizing and preparing negotiations, and preparing committee materials.
- You will support the management and administration of purchasing processes and orders in SAP.
- You will accompany and support negotiations for the new electric vehicle fleet, including business case calculations and negotiation strategy.
- You will be part of our risk management team and support efforts to resolve current supply issues.
- You will contribute to external B2B communication between Purchasing and Sales.
Requirements
- Enrolled in a degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or a comparable field.
- Strong MS Office skills, with particular enthusiasm for Excel tasks.
- Strong communication and assertiveness skills.
- Interest in business and technical issues.
- Fluent German (at least B2 level).
- Business-fluent English.
