About the role

  • You support the integration of textual, visual, and technical data sources into unified data structures.
  • You contribute to the structured capture and linking of vehicle component CAD data with repair manuals.
  • You assist in building a multimodal dataset.
  • You help prototype and evaluate automated data-matching methods using vision–language models or alternative generative AI technologies.
  • You work independently on assigned tasks and receive regular feedback from your supervisor or point of contact.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a degree program in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable field.
  • Strong practical programming skills, particularly in Python.
  • Good understanding of, and ideally initial practical experience with, concepts of artificial intelligence and machine learning — especially Large Language Models (LLMs).
  • Knowledge of and experience with CAD models are an advantage.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Knowledge Graphs is desirable.
  • Good German and English language skills.
