About the role
- Ensure accurate and compliant accounting of cost of goods sold and production costs
- Perform full product costing, including materials, labor, depreciation and overhead
- Coordinate workshops to ensure transparency and support budgeting
- Lead the monthly Material Ledger close, ensuring accuracy and timely completion
- Manage material master data, keep prices up to date and perform annual revaluations
- Make decisions in SAP projects to optimize technical and costing processes
- Advise internal functions on accounting procedures in accordance with CPC (Brazilian Accounting Pronouncements) and IFRS
- Ensure the accuracy of accounting management
- Lead cost control and process improvement initiatives
- Define guidelines within the internal control system, implement new procedures, oversee audits, manage outsourced teams and act as the primary contact for accounting consultancies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- MBA in Finance, Auditing or Controllership is a plus
- Accounting experience, preferably with multinationals in the industrial/automotive sector
- Experience in a production/manufacturing environment is mandatory
- Strong knowledge of SAP and MS Office; expertise in IFRS and Brazilian GAAP
- Knowledge of accounting related to import/export of goods and services
- Familiarity with the Brazilian tax system
- Experience with the consolidation process
- Flexibility and ability to make quick decisions
- Strong communication skills
- Advanced or fluent English required.
