About the role

  • Performs process and quality improvements through data analysis, problem solving, product audit, standards, and optimization with process controls within Logistics
  • Provides technical problem solving to Physical Logistics teams
  • Performs root cause analysis of complex quality problems utilizing tools such as 8D, Six Sigma, Projects, or SPC
  • Participates in driving continuous quality improvement activities for Plant manufacturing issues
  • Coordinates cross-functional quality improvement/issue resolution teams to address repetitive issues and quality improvement with a focus on preventative measures
  • Implements and validates effectiveness of process controls and inspections
  • Supports key process characteristics while developing and steering implementation of control mechanisms
  • Steers quality topics in daily Work Organization
  • Ensures relevant BMW standards & specifications are met to achieve quality product results
  • Leads investigations from product audits regarding defect landscape & indicator results
  • Reports status updates of open topics in Technology department meetings
  • Collaborates and supports quality planning for series production

Requirements

  • Pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management or Industrial Engineering
  • Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major)
  • Have enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States
  • Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application
  • Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours / week)
  • Transfer students must have a GPA from current university
  • MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT
  • Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term
