About the role
- Perform process and quality improvements through data analysis, problem solving, product audit, standards, and optimization within Logistics
- Provide technical problem solving to Physical Logistics teams
- Perform root cause analysis of complex quality problems
- Participate in continuous quality improvement activities for Plant manufacturing issues
- Coordinate quality improvement/issue resolution teams
- Implement and validate effectiveness of process controls and inspections
- Support key process characteristics while developing and steering implementation of control mechanisms
- Steer quality topics in daily Work Organization
- Ensure relevant BMW standards & specifications are met
- Lead investigations from product audits regarding defect landscape & indicator results
- Report status updates in Technology department meetings
- Collaborate and support quality planning for series production
Requirements
- Pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management or Industrial Engineering
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
- Enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States
- Completed at least 30 credit hours at the time of application
- Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours/week)
- Transfer students must have a GPA from current university
- Must attach a copy of unofficial transcript
- Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term
