About the role

  • Assisting TX-211 with the daily operations of managing Controls initiatives.
  • Driving continual improvement of PLC related topics within the Body Shop.
  • Learning how to write, read and change PLC code to support continuous improvement projects.
  • Changing PLC code to support SAS revision rollout and cleanup of faults generated by the new SAS revision.
  • TIA training.
  • Learning HMI layout and uses.
  • Review SAS and EPLAN and make changes to eliminate faults.
  • Interaction with Maintenance Associates and Management.

Requirements

  • Electrical Engineering or Computer Science background
  • Basic Electrical trouble shooting skill
  • Knowledge of PLC coding
  • MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
  • Problem Solving skills
  • Ability to train others
  • Project leadership skills
  • Presentation Skills
  • Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major)
  • Have enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
  • Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
  • Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours / week)
  • Transfer students must have a GPA from current university.
  • MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT.
  • Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
