About the role
- Delivers an exceptional customer experience for a portfolio of high risk borrowing accounts
- Advises internal and external stakeholders on complex, high-risk credit risk transactions and mitigation strategies
- Makes credit decisions/recommendations in accordance with credit-granting principles and compliance with Bank Policy & Procedures
- Works with stakeholders to deepen relationships and grow overall profitability
- Fosters a culture aligned to BMO purpose, values and strategy
- Ensures alignment between values and behaviour that fosters diversity and inclusion
- Builds interdependent teams that collaborate across functional and operating groups
- Attracts, retains, and enables the career development of top talent
- Acts as a trusted advisor to senior leaders for business decisions and strategic initiatives
- Develops an expert understanding of business/group challenges
- Consults to or serves on various committees and task forces
- Provides credit coaching, training and support to direct team and other stakeholders

- Monitors financial and risk performance of account portfolio
Requirements
- Typically 9+ years of relevant experience
- Post-secondary degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Commercial Real Estate Experience - Required
- Credit Qualifications and associated credit knowledge and skills according to established qualification standards
- Expert knowledge of banking products & services
- Expert knowledge of industry trends and regulations
- Expert knowledge of credit portfolio management policies & procedures, and financing guidelines
- Verbal & written communication skills - Expert
