About the role

  • Work for the Corporate Banking – Global Financial Institutions Group – Insurance Team based in Chicago or New York
  • Assume both a Portfolio Management and Relationship Management role
  • Heavy focus on credit underwriting, structuring, and risk adjudication
  • Building to more direct origination, cross-sell, and client relationship management responsibilities over time
  • Supports the origination and structuring of corporate lending transactions
  • Completes credit documentation for internal and external stakeholders
  • Directly manages a diverse portfolio of Insurance companies with progression toward increasing client responsibility
  • Reviews and continually monitors performance of existing accounts and client relationships
  • Provides deal structuring expertise and negotiates transactions with clients
  • Completes due diligence and credit analysis on new and existing client relationships.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree with focal areas of finance, economics, or accounting preferred with high academic achievement
  • Preferred MBA, CFA or equivalent experience in financial services, accounting, or legal fields
  • Minimum of 5 – 7 years of relevant experience in covering the Insurance segment from a corporate or commercial banking and lending perspective, including credit underwriting, transaction structuring, and client management within the Insurance sector
  • Displays advanced deal execution and/or project management skills - ability to manage more than one client / major initiative
  • Ability to create and deliver professional presentations
  • Strong analytical skills, with expertise in Insurance credit analysis
  • Deep knowledge and technical proficiency gained through extensive education and business experience.
