About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Responsible for leading and managing a portfolio of judicial and administrative tax cases;
Managing external law firms and internal legal requests from the bank's business areas;
Reporting to internal and external auditors;
Legal focal point for tax matters, preparing reports and legal opinions on a variety of issues affecting the financial institution;
Participating in relevant meetings with internal and external clients;
Responsible for monitoring tax contingencies and reporting to the Coordinator and Executive Manager;
Experience working in financial institutions or in matters previously handled on behalf of banks.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Law degree (completed);
Active registration with the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB);
Practical experience in tax law at financial institutions or acting as counsel for banks;
Postgraduate degree or MBA in Tax Law;
Proactive and highly organized;
Extensive knowledge of tax legislation and the calculation of federal, state and municipal taxes, with continuous monitoring of administrative and judicial case law and tax ancillary obligations.
