About the role

Lead business control strategy and execution across the Personal Loan line of business
Build, enhance, and monitor the business control framework for personal loan servicing, ensuring operational integrity and compliance
Identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks, partnering closely with Compliance, Risk, and Audit teams
Manage relationships with business control and AI solution providers (e.g., NICE Actimize, FICO, Verint, Onfido, Alloy)
Leverage automation, AI, and data analytics to proactively detect anomalies, inefficiencies, or potential control breaches
Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Operations, and Vendor Management to embed controls into process design and systems
Develop and execute control testing programs and validate design effectiveness and operational performance
Track, resolve, and report on operational incidents and control gaps, ensuring timely remediation and continuous improvement
Stay ahead of regulatory requirements and industry best practices impacting personal loan servicing

7+ years of business control, operational risk, or related experience in consumer lending, banking, or fintech
Demonstrated success in both mature company environments and high-growth or early-stage settings
Proven ability to manage and integrate third-party vendor solutions into operational workflows
Strong analytical skills and experience with AI/ML-driven monitoring solutions
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or related field
Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CRCM, CAMS, Six Sigma) [preferred]
Direct experience with personal loan servicing processes and systems [preferred]
Hands-on experience with fraud detection, identity verification, quality monitoring, analytics & AI tools [preferred]
