About the role

  • You develop backend functionality (Python, REST APIs, SQL) and provide occasional frontend support (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
  • You work closely with our Product Owner, other developers and the business units to help shape requirements — not just to implement them.
  • You develop requirements together with the Product Owner and Project Manager (PM).
  • You understand users and want to know why a feature is needed.
  • You use modern tools such as AI-assisted code reviews, debugging, testing and refactoring.

Requirements

  • Strong programming skills (Python preferred, but not mandatory)
  • Confident working with REST APIs and SQL
  • Understanding of modern software development practices rather than just “working through tickets”
  • Enjoy direct collaboration with Product Owner, Project Manager and business teams
  • Openness to AI tools (Copilot, ChatGPT, code analysis, AI-assisted pair programming)
  • Willingness to find pragmatic solutions and perform refactoring in legacy/established systems
  • German language skills at C1 level
