About the role
- Responsible for the design and development of mechanical components and assemblies for special machines in the labeling sector
- Close collaboration with team members from the electrical, controls, software and project engineering departments
- Support the entire development process from concept through design to commissioning
- Support components/assemblies/serial machines during ongoing production
- Creation of technical drawings, bills of materials and documentation in CAD and PDM systems
- Support during commissioning as well as troubleshooting and fault rectification on the machines
- Contribute to the optimization of existing machines and processes
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or comparable qualification (e.g., technician)
- Several years of experience in machine or plant design — ideally in special machine construction
- Confident use of CAD systems (preferably Autodesk Inventor) and PDM/PLM systems
- Familiarity with relevant standards, guidelines and design methods
- Practical knowledge of manufacturing technologies and assembly processes
- Good understanding of control technology and process workflows in automated systems
- Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
- Independent yet team-oriented working style
