About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide expert health and safety leadership across the BCP business
  • Partner with the North America regional Environmental leadership
  • Influence behavior at all levels of the organization
  • Ensure compliance with legislative and BlueScope Corporate requirements
  • Drive continuous improvement of the health and safety culture across BCP
  • Develop and implement leadership, behavioral, and engagement initiatives to deliver improved health and safety performance

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Safety or Environmental Science, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience as HSE Professional.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in building an effective HSE Program.
  • Demonstrated success in improving health and safety performance in a complex organization.
  • Demonstrated success in improving health and safety culture including safety leadership, behaviors, and engagement.
  • Ability to travel across BCP locations (~50%)
