About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the full product lifecycle from concept → development → launch → post-market optimization. Success in this role is defined by the quality of the products you build and the scale they achieve.
- Define ingredient strategy, dosing, and differentiation in partnership with R&D
- Drive cross-functional execution across R&D, Quality, Ops, Regulatory, and Marketing
- Partner with Ops on co-manufacturer selection, scale-up, pilot runs, and commercialization
- Work with suppliers and manufacturing partners; assess feasibility, timelines, and risks
- Ensure scientific rigor across formulation, claims, and product positioning
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years in product development (supplements, functional foods, or adjacent categories)
- Proven track record of taking products from concept to commercial launch
- Experience working with co-manufacturers, suppliers, and supply chain systems
- Strong understanding of formulation, ingredient sourcing, and manufacturing constraints
- Strong experience with regulatory frameworks (FDA, Prop 65, international compliance)
- Familiarity with SFP/NFP development and labeling tools
- Experience working with COAs, spec sheets, and quality systems
- Background in evidence-based formulation and claims substantiation
- Experience building or improving product development systems/processes
