About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design and stand up a new, unified Lifecycle Marketing function
  • Consolidate customer-marketing activities into a cohesive team and operating model
  • Define the customer lifecycle framework across onboarding, adoption, renewal, expansion, and advocacy
  • Partner with CX, Marketing, and AS leadership on organizational transition, including roles, programs, and budgets
  • Develop governance, calendars, and approval processes for coordinated customer communications
  • Build customer segmentation and journey maps for targeted lifecycle messaging
  • Connect Marketing, CX, Product, Sales, and Customer Success on scaled customer engagement
  • Identify and enable expansion, cross-sell, and upsell opportunities within the installed base
  • Build always-on nurture programs and targeted campaigns
  • Define and report pipeline and revenue contribution from lifecycle and expansion campaigns
  • Govern in-product messaging, announcements, banners, walkthroughs, notifications, and customer portal communications
  • Shape the customer portal content and communication strategy
  • Partner with Revenue Marketing on campaigns, creative, marketing automation, and shared martech infrastructure
  • Leverage AI, automation, predictive signals, and personalization for lifecycle communications
  • Define and own KPIs including retention, NRR, product adoption, engagement, and cross-sell/upsell revenue
  • Report program performance and business impact to marketing and CX leadership

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 10–15+ years in customer marketing, lifecycle marketing, growth marketing and/or business development roles
  • Experience building or significantly scaling a function or team
  • Experience in B2B SaaS or enterprise technology
  • Supply chain, logistics, or retail technology experience is a plus
  • Demonstrated success partnering across Marketing, Customer Success/CX, Product, and Sales
  • Ability to influence without direct authority during organizational change
  • Track record using in-product messaging, customer portals, or similar owned digital touchpoints as active marketing channels
  • Strong working knowledge of marketing automation, CDPs, personalization engines, and AI-driven marketing technology
  • Ability to connect customer marketing programs to retention, expansion, and revenue outcomes
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
  • Organizational design and change leadership skills
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills
  • Customer-centric, data-driven decision-making
  • Strategic vision paired with hands-on execution
  • Clear, persuasive communication and presentation skills
