About the role
- Oversee the daily operations of the Jellystone Chincoteague Island Recreation Department including Maui Jacks Water Park, Daily Activities, and Arcade.
- Supervise, monitor, and evaluate the work performance of staff members.
- Work closely with Maintenance, Housekeeping, Activities, Food and Beverage, Human Resources, Front Office, and Marketing (film shoots, special functions).
- Oversee the safety, guest service, and cleanliness of the Attractions areas to ensure safety and quality specifications are met.
- Ensure that Jellystone Chincoteague Island’s overall safety and presentation are to the highest quality standards in the industry.
- Administer first aid and CPR as needed, maintain records, and perform other duties as assigned.

- Effective leadership and team-building tactics
- American Red Cross Lifeguarding or Shallow Water Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR/AED for Lifeguards, and Water Park Skills certification or must be able to pass all requirements to obtain certification in these courses.
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification preferred or must be able to obtain certification within 3 months.
- Availability that meets the business needs of the position
- High level of verbal and written communication skills
- Possession of a high level of guest service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
- Ability to assist with pre-and post-season setup and breakdown on a limited basis
- Ability to complete all legal, company, and department training requirements, including but not limited to passing required tests and certifications within established timelines
- Willingness to comply and ensure all staff members comply with all Jellystone Chincoteague Island grooming guidelines and employment standards.
