- Utilize project management technologies and tools to administer programs
- Develop schedules, project estimates, and resource plans
- Set and monitor deadlines, ensure completion of deliverables
- Help schedule team meetings and provide status updates
- Implement strategies to increase membership and volunteer participation
- Support recruitment and effective onboarding of volunteers
- Support Executive Director on fundraising activities
- Support day-to-day budget tracking
- Manage execution of marketing and communications strategies
- Engage fellows and interns to maximize impact
- Host and/or attend local community events
- Perform various administrative activities
Requirements
- Minimum 2-4 years of relevant experience
- Independent self-starter with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of the military family experience
- Volunteer recruitment and management experience
- Event management and reporting experience
- Experience working with community partner organizations
- Demonstrated comfort and proficiency in public speaking and media interactions
- Excellent writing skills
- Ability to facilitate meetings and drive toward decision-making
- Local travel requirements up to 40% outside of home office
- Ability to repeatedly transport, lift and carry supplies and equipment up to 50 lbs
- May be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary to carry out key job functions
- Limited out-of-town travel may be required to attend meetings, trainings, events
