About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- The Business Development Manager (BDM) – Oman is responsible for driving sustainable revenue growth for Blue Spark Energy across the Sultanate of Oman.
- Execute strategic sales plans focused on Oman’s key operators and producing assets.
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through technical engagement, commercial negotiation, and contract close.
- Support market-entry and expansion strategies within Oman, including framework agreements and vendor registrations.
- Drive adoption of Blue Spark Energy technologies within operator well intervention and production optimization programs.
- Build and maintain a robust, high-quality opportunity pipeline across Oman.
- Identify opportunities for repeatable multi-well campaigns and long-term intervention programs.
- Establish, grow, and maintain trusted relationships across operator, partner, and service company organizations.
- Identify and develop strategic in-country partnerships to strengthen market access, logistics capability, and operational support.
- Represent Blue Spark Energy at industry conferences, technical forums, and client meetings within the region.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 10+ years’ experience in international sales and business development within the energy services sector, including both offshore and land operations.
- Direct experience selling solutions into the well intervention, production enhancement, or completions market is required.
- Proven success managing complex sales cycles and negotiating high-value contracts with NOCs, IOCs, and major service companies in the Middle East.
- Strong understanding of the Oman oil and gas market, including PDO commercial and operational structures, strongly preferred.
- Established network within Oman’s operator and service company community is highly desirable.
- Results-driven with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets and expanding market share.
- Experience working with local partners, agents, and vendor registration processes within the GCC region.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively within Oman and the wider Middle East as required.
- Enterprising self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.
- Proven ability to build and maintain a strong sales funnel and convert opportunities into revenue.
- Strong commercial acumen with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Persuasive communicator capable of influencing stakeholders at technical, operational, and executive levels.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Fluency in English required; Arabic language capability would be considered an advantage.
