About the role

  • Serve as the Company HSE representative, ensuring compliance with applicable legislation and internal HSE policies.
  • Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of HSE systems and programs across all functions.
  • Conduct internal HSE audits, inspections, investigations, and incident reporting, ensuring timely and effective communication with relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HSE system.
  • Collaborate with all levels/function of the business to identify risks, implement preventive measures, and drive the adoption of industry best practices.
  • Manage PPE inventory and ensure external compliance systems remain current.
  • Maintain documentation and support initiatives related to the transition from COR certification to ISO standards.
  • Lead the development, implementation, auditing and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with company, customer, applicable international standard requirements, statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with the development of audit plans and follow-up on QMS audit activities.
  • Plan and implement projects to meet Quality objectives.
  • Act as an interface between quality and BSE Process Owners.
  • Follow up and track completion of corrective actions to audit nonconformances.
  • Lead the creation and maintenance of Company quality documentation.
  • Assist with special projects and operational initiatives that enhance safety, compliance, and operational effectiveness.
  • Prepare reports and updates as and when required.
  • Review opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement improvements in all facets of documentation.
  • Perform various other duties and activities as assigned.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of industry related HSE or QMS experience.
  • Certified COR/ISO 45001 Internal Auditor is an asset.
  • Quality minded and service-oriented team player.
  • Proven organizational skills including time management, and the capacity to prioritize by assessing situations to determine urgency.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively independently.
  • Willingness to learn in a diverse organizational environment.
  • Capacity to work cooperatively and effectively with others to resolve problems.
  • Drive to maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with all MS Office applications with a focus on Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as general office equipment (computer/voice messaging systems/fax/copier).
