About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the development and operations of New Glenn, a heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle.
  • Conduct analysis intensive tasks related to fluid systems design for the launch vehicle.
  • Implement aerothermal, rocket plume heating, and natural environments during all phases of flight.
  • Maintain documentation and analysis inputs, models, and results in reports and data books.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of BS degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
  • 4 or more years of experience in the fields of thermal or thermodynamic analysis.
  • Experience with one or more fluid or thermal modeling tools is required (e.g., ANSYS Workbench, ANSYS Classic, SINDA/FLUINT, Thermal Desktop, etc.).
  • Desired: 6 or more years of experience and a MS degree.
  • Demonstrated expertise with Thermal Desktop, SINDA/FLUINT, FloCAD.
  • Experience modeling launch vehicle systems.
  • Experience with cryogenic systems.
  • Knowledge of MATLAB.
  • U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e. current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
