About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Co-leading assessment and definition of subsystem level solutions for the next generation Launch Pad
- Serving as the SE focal for one or more design subsystems; includes immersive collaboration with subsystem designers
- Verification planning, tracking, coordinating
- Subsystem test/activation/commissioning planning and coordination with the Operations Team
- Strategic subsystem lookaheads with identification of emergent concerns/risks
- Milestone design review support
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of a B.S. degree in engineering or a related technical field
- Familiarity with at least two of the following engineering disciplines: structures, fluids, electrical hardware, software, operations, maintenance
- Ability to support up to 25% travel primarily to New Glenn's Launch Pads in Cape Canaveral, FL and/or testing sites in West Texas
- Proven ability to build effective working relationships with internal teams and external partners to deliver results
- Experience in test and/or launch environment including site (or subsystem) activation, commissioning
- Experience with requirement management/tools (such as DNG)
- Experience with aerospace or similar industry safety standards and verification methods
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
