About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Join the Blue Origin Engines business unit focusing on the design, development, manufacturing, and testing of engines and propulsion systems
  • Deliver technically mature BE-7 Lunar Lander Engine
  • Provide new or revised design releases for a variety of primary/secondary structures
  • Incorporate knowledge from test campaigns and builds, support hardware non-conformances and root cause analysis
  • Partner with Manufacturing Engineers, Quality Engineers, Technicians, and other Propulsion Engineers
  • Exercise technical judgement to inform solutions for development and manufacturing
  • Mentor, train, and collaborate with peers on various assignments

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • B.S. degree or higher in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
  • 2+ years proven experience with aircraft, spacecraft, or launch vehicle component/assembly design, manufacturing, and test
  • Strong mechanical design skills, including initial sizing/analysis/calculations
  • Proficiency in CAD and large assembly model management and configuration (Creo Parametric and Windchill PLM preferred)
  • Proficiency with GD&T implementation and analysis (ASME Y14.5)
  • Working knowledge of aerospace materials, treatments and manufacturing
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
