About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the development and operations of New Glenn, a heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle
- Develop flight software and tools for various spaceflight systems
- Work on vehicle avionics and ground systems
- Responsible for requirements, design, implementation, integration and testing of various software components and tools critical for mission success
Requirements
What you’ll need- B.S. degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering or related subject area
- 8+ years of experience writing software in C, C++, and Python
- 5+ years of experience in embedded software, kernel development, BSPs or other systems software components
- Solid understanding of operating systems and network protocols
- Experience working with real-time systems and developing software that interfaced directly with hardware and programmable logic
- M.S. degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering or related field preferred
- Experience with safety-critical software development in aerospace, automotive or other industries preferred
- Working knowledge of control systems preferred
