About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work directly with Blue engineering teams on projects in support of business units
  • Involve applied test engineering including design, analysis, test planning and operation of test systems
  • Testing fluid, propulsion, mechanical, avionics software, structures, GNC, and electronic systems
  • Some projects may require comfort with heights

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S.
  • Currently enrolled in a graduate degree program with one semester or quarter remaining
  • Available to work full time for 15 weeks while not concurrently enrolled in coursework
  • Strong written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong interest in Blue Origin's mission
  • Experience in a test environment
  • Experience with Fluid Mechanics, thermodynamics, or propulsion systems
  • Experience with component test, FEA, CFD
  • Experience with MATLAB or Simulink
  • Experience with programming languages including Python, C/C++
  • Relevant internship/co-op and academic project experience
  • Hands-on project experience
  • Co-curricular engagement
