About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop robust plans of product deliveries and lead tracking of key operating metrics - including technical, cost, schedule, and risk
Identify and define problem statements and have enough experience to build a realistic project schedule
Work with technical leads to define program scope to create program plans
Work with program management toward long-range objectives without appreciable direction and resolve technical objectives of assignments to develop approaches to solutions
Provides regular status updates and works to resolve project discrepancies (schedule, budget, resources, etc.)
Engage with developers on significant issues sufficiently to be able to report to senior leadership
In partnership with Responsible Engineers (RE) and Team Leads own the technical success of product development
Help run contracts and produce statements of work

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of project management experience related to software development
Experience with Project Management Tools such as MS Project, P6 Primavera or similar
Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Minimum of a B.S. degree in engineering or another technical field
Desired: Experience with NPR 7150.2D, DO-254, and safety critical applications
Program Management Professional (PMP) certification
Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience
Experience with critical path scheduling, IMP/IMS, risk management, requirements management and Cost Account Management such as EVM
Familiar with agile project management
Experience with Jira
Experience automating schedule health evaluations and continuously improving schedules
Experience with verification, integration, and test, of orbital launch vehicles or human rated spacecraft
